In the traditional fashion industry, product photography is a crucial but challenging aspect. It involves organizing photoshoots, hiring models, and coordinating with photographers and stylists. This process can be time-consuming, expensive, and may not always produce the desired results. AIOmnihub offers a solution to these challenges by enabling fashion brands to showcase their products on virtual models. I recently ran across a post promoting some pretty shots for a name brand : 4-5 pics of 2 athletes, standing in front of a 9’ seamless roll (a backdrop). Hiding the stands were some potted plants and I see 1 decorative box (so there were probably a few other props around). Athletes were in athletic gear (basics). Lighting was even and had no shadows or highlights (it’s fine, but I’m just saying it wasn’t fancy). I could have set this up myself in less than an hour. 2 people could get it done in 23 mins if they were in fast mode.Listed in this production was the following crew: Photographer (I see why they were needed, haha)Producer (gotcha)Set designer (ok, there are some plants and a box)Lighting (separate credit from photographer or photo assists, which is curious to me)Digital Tech (ok, so someone on the computer as they shoot)Creative Director (sure)Art Director (yep, ok)2 marketing people (needed)Production manager (needed)Production coordinator (how is this different job that the mngr above?)Production assistant (I'll just say this... hard to imagine enough food, enough hair/make up/styling, enough chairs, more than 1 permit needed, not that many people to park, etc, to merit 3 production people)2 photo assists (but not doing the lighting OR the computer work, so there are setting up a backdrop and making sure the camera lenses are available and sitting around a ton)2 set assists (2 carrying a box and plants from the van? 2 dusting them off pre-shoot?)2 retouchers (ok but for the record it's usually a company or 1 individual)And, of course, also there...Make up leadStyling leadHair leadTalent 1 (might have their own assists, btw)Talent 2 (repeat on the assist or publicists)I can see why 10 of these people were needed. But my mind is blown because usually my clients insist on tighter budgets than this. They'd have cut 1/2 this crew (rightfully so) before we got to estimate 2. My point? Clearly there is paid work to be had, people. GO GET YOURS!

Behind the Scenes of Model Photoshoots.Model shoots involve a lot of problem-solving and time management.1. Building the Dream Team: Just like any grand production, it all starts with assembling the perfect team. However, finding trustworthy models can be quite challenging. It begins with casting calls, requesting the latest portfolio shots, and carefully assessing their current appearance. The goal is to ensure that the model seamlessly fits the shoot's vision.2. Call Sheet & Time Management: With the team in place, detailed planning takes center stage. A call sheet is distributed to everyone involved, clearly outlining the start times and essential break periods. Crafting a precise shooting schedule is a must. The time of models, makeup artists and hairdressers is valuable and costs a lot.3. Guardians of Time: In this creative environment, someone must play the role of a timekeeper. Each shot is carefully orchestrated down to the minute. We know when it should start and when it should end.4. When Trouble Strikes the Clock: However, just when everything appears to be running smoothly, disaster can strike - the model doesn't show up! Quick action is essential. Having the contact numbers of the Model Agency directors readily available can be a lifesaver. Being centrally located ensures that models can reach you promptly, saving the day.Feeling overwhelmed? There's something special about taking photoshoots. From the initial spark of an idea to the final execution, the journey is filled with creativity, planning, and a whole lot of passion.Reasons why I love being on photoshoots- -Seeing your creative ideas come to life is a magical experience. From brainstorming campaigns, arranging props, outfits, communicating with model etc. Everything is carefully thought out and planned.-Sometimes I even step in as a model myself! It's fun to see yourself on a page you are managing. -Each shot tells a story and making sure the setup looks just right both in my imagination and reality is a wonderful feeling. There are some things that I learnt from photoshoots- -Managing time effectively to ensure everything runs smoothly-Things don’t always go as planned on shoots, so I learn to think on my feet, make quick decisions, and adapt to any situation. -Working with different teams teaches me the importance of clear communication and teamwork.#socialmediamanager #socialmedia #photoshoots #socialmediamarketing #lifeofasocialmediamanager #marketing

With nine years of experience in the fashion industry, I've forged my path from the ground up, without the support of family connections or financial backing. Now, I'm ready to share three invaluable tips to help aspiring photographers and filmmakers break into this competitive field.1. Connect with the Right People: Starting from scratch without any financial backing or family connections can be challenging, but it’s entirely possible to succeed with the right approach. In the fashion industry, clients often rely on stylists to curate and produce shoots, making them valuable contacts for aspiring photographers and filmmakers. By networking with stylists and showcasing your talents, you can establish yourself as a reliable collaborator, opening doors to opportunities despite starting with limited resources.2. Build a Strong Portfolio: When you’re starting with little to no funds, building a portfolio can seem daunting, but it’s essential for gaining traction in the industry. Diversifying your portfolio is key, as it demonstrates your versatility and attracts a broader range of clients. While editorials may offer exposure, the real growth and financial stability often come from campaigns and advertisem*nts. Starting small by collaborating with emerging brands or artists allows you to showcase your skills while gradually expanding your portfolio, even if it means investing your own money to a certain extent.3. Collaborate Wisely: It’s crucial to navigate the fine line between collaboration and exploitation, especially when you’re starting from scratch. While collaboration is essential for growth, it’s essential to ensure that you’re not being taken advantage of in the name of exposure. Clearly defining the terms of collaboration, such as limiting the number of garments featured or setting boundaries, helps maintain a fair and respectful partnership. By prioritizing mutual benefit and ethical practices, you can build positive relationships and avoid exploitation in your journey towards success in the fashion industry.By following these steps, you can navigate the competitive fashion world and pave your way to success as a photographer or filmmaker. Remember, success takes time. Take it one step at a time, and prioritize long-term stability over quick wins. Focus on building relationships, improving your skills, and making smart choices. Don't rush. Take your time to achieve lasting success in the fashion industry.Tag your friends who want to break into the fashion scene or are facing challenges getting started. Product shoots may appear straightforward, but they are often complex and intricate in their finer details. It’s not merely about photographing a product in an aesthetic looking frame. It's about capturing the essence of the brand and its identity, which ultimately appeals to its target audience and carves out a unique market space. In today's evolved marketing landscape, this aspect cannot be overlooked.A shoot is more than just a camera capturing an image; it's about the artistry involved in creating each frame. Recently, I led a project as an Art Director, where orchestrating a successful shoot required meticulous planning, creative vision, and seamless execution. From the crucial pre-production phase, which involved developing a nuanced mood board, scouting locations, and hiring models, to an intense three-day shoot, every detail was considered. From the lighting in the frame, the placement of every strand of hair on the model's face, to steam ironing the creases off the product; all at once. This project was one of the most fulfilling experiences considering it being an advertising/marketing shoot.A big shout out to the team- HiVoco Content-Tech Studios Pritesh Chothani Ann Afreen Eroloc#advertising #marketing #shoot #productshoot
