You can make a Academy Sports + Outdoors Credit Card payment online, by phone, by mail or through EasyPay. To pay a Academy Credit Card bill online, log in to your online account and click on “Payments.” Then, choose how much to pay, when to pay it, and where the payment is coming from. Comenity Capital does allow cardholders to set up automatic payments, too.

Ways to Make a Academy Credit Card Payment

  • Online: Log in to your online account and click on “Payments” or use the EasyPay feature in order to pay your bill.
  • By phone: Call (877) 321-8509 and enter your card information when prompted, then follow the prompts to make a credit card payment.
  • By mail: Send a check or money order (but not cash) to Comenity Capital Bank PO Box 183003 Columbus, OH 43218-3003. Make sure to send it early enough that it will arrive by the due date. Write your credit card number on the check, too.

Of course, you will have to fill out a 4473 form and they will do a background check on you before they sell you a firearm, just like if you pulled cash out of your pocket.

This card is not trustworthy! I opened my account at the end of June, and it is almost September, yet I still have not received my card. I have called twice, and they claim to have sent me cards. They are attempting to charge me late fees for a card I have never even received. I used it once for a $37 purchase, and now they claim I owe them over $90. The representative, Kristine, over the phone, offered to remove the late fee if I kept my account open, but the late fee is still there. I strongly advise against getting this card. It has caused me so much frustration.

Horrible. I was trying to build credit and had a record of paying off my $26.87 balance. Then, two months later, they charged me $96 in late fees. I literally used it once, and when I checked my credit, I saw a decrease. They never notified me or anything. I immediately disputed this through Credit Karma and the academy, and closed my academy account, or so they said.

After three years of using the card and paying on time, with a 750 credit score, they arbitrarily raised my interest rate to 35.99%. When I called and complained, they said, "There's nothing we can do." I will pay off the remaining balance and close the account. I'm done with this. Awful card! Don't do it!

Trash. Didn't even get an email and they charged my $0 balance. I am so annoyed with this company; I got charged $66, and the people work in India. I respect many cultures, but this is so off-script with them. I am tired of this company and the call centers.

This is the worst place to get credit. I closed my account in May, paid the whole amount, and they are still mailing me bills claiming I have to pay more money. I have never seen such a bad company with the worst customer service. I don’t know if the company is broke, but they need to stop robbing people.

Do not get this card! I paid my account off in full, and they still added $2.00 to my account without informing me, even though I have paperless billing where they are supposed to notify me of any payments due. The only way I found out was by getting notified by a different card company that my credit score had dropped from 700 to 608. This significant drop occurred because Academy's bank, Comenity Capital, reported me as being a month past due. I have never been late on anything, yet they also decreased my credit limit to almost nothing. I don't care because I will never deal with Academy again. All this trouble over $2.00. I hope the Attorney General can resolve this issue.

I wouldn't advise anyone to use this company! Every time you make a payment on the due date, it's considered late. They canceled my card after 6 months of having it, with no warning whatsoever. I tried to use it, and it just kept declining. This is the second time this has happened with this bank. If I had known that academy sports uses them for their credit service, I would have declined the offer. All the people who said this is a great card to use are not telling the truth.
